Our heritage-style trolley combines timeless charm with engaging storytelling to create unforgettable experiences for visitors and locals alike. From historic neighborhoods and waterfront views to local restaurants, breweries, and seasonal celebrations, every ride is designed to showcase the character and beauty of the Hudson Valley.

As a locally owned and operated company, we are proud to celebrate Kingston’s rich past while supporting its vibrant present. Our tours highlight the people, industries, architecture, and events that shaped New York’s first capital city and helped build the Hudson Valley into what it is today.

What truly sets Old Stone City Trolley apart is that our leadership team is deeply rooted in the Kingston and Ulster County community. Founders Yvonne Merck and Sandy Cozza were both born and raised in Kingston, developing lifelong connections to the city’s neighborhoods, traditions, and history. Richard Gillette raised his children within the Kingston school community and has spent decades contributing to local business, civic organizations, and community life throughout Ulster County.

Our connection to this region is personal. We are not simply giving tours — we are sharing the community we proudly call home.

Meet the Team

Yvonne Merck 

Yvonne Merck founded Old Stone City Trolley with a vision to create immersive experiences that celebrate Kingston’s history, culture, and community spirit. Born and raised in Kingston, Yvonne brings a lifelong passion for the city and a deep commitment to preserving and sharing its stories with visitors and residents alike.

Sandy Cozza 

Sandy Cozza contributes extensive expertise in transportation operations, safety, and  compliance. Born and raised in Kingston, Sandy’s lifelong ties to the community and deep transportation knowledge help ensure every experience is safe, professional, and welcoming.

Fun fact, Sandy created and operated the original Kingston Trolley Experience in the early 2000s, including the highly popular Taste of Kingston Tours. Her pioneering work in trolley-based experiences helped introduce both residents and visitors to the city’s rich history, neighborhoods, restaurants, and local attractions in a unique and engaging way.

Richard Gillette

Richard Gillette brings decades of business leadership and operational experience to Old Stone City Trolley. Having raised his children in the Kingston school community and spent much of his career serving businesses and organizations throughout Ulster County, Rich brings both professional expertise and a strong personal connection to the region.
